Very sadly it appears that Covid will be a part of every day life now as it’s still replicating and on the move.  Vaccines have made a huge difference. We are both jabbed and boosted but we still feel more comfortable exercising precautions. As The Old Stables is not just a B&B but also our family home, we are continuing to work on the basis that it is better both for us and you to be safe rather than sorry and in this regard we have changed the way in which we run the B&B (please read more below). Don’t worry, you’ll still be more than comfortable and well-fed and all the little things that make The Old Stables such a lovely place to stay will still be available.

We pride ourselves on excellent levels of cleanliness and we will continue to uphold our usual high standards.


DURING YOUR STAY:

 

Breakfast:

We have revised our breakfast service as follows:

When all three rooms are occupied, we will set up an individual table in addition to our main dining table so as to ensure adequate social distancing.

Breakfast buffet items e.g. cereals, fruit, yoghurt and pastries will be provided as individual portions and served to your table. These will be available to order on our Breakfast pre-order form that you will find in your room.

Milk, juice, jams and condiments will be served in individual containers on your table.

We will still be offering our fabulous breakfasts so don’t worry that you’ll miss out on enjoying our full farmhouse or any of our breakfast specials!

 

Room Tidies

We want you to feel as comfortable and safe as possible whilst you are with us, so we will not be entering rooms during guest stays unless there is an emergency.

There will be no cleaning and servicing rooms during your stay with us. We are more than happy to replace dirty crockery, give you clean towels, replenish your biscuit jar, refill your milk and water, supply tea, coffee and sugar and remove rubbish. We will check with you at breakfast as to what you need.

 

Cancellation and Curtailment

Our cancellation policy will stay the same i.e. 7 days prior to arrival, so you can cancel up to a week before your stay without incurring any costs. Should you decide to cancel within the 7 days, we will charge 1 night’s stay to the card you booked or we will be more than happy to transfer your booking to a later date. We hope that you understand this position – we are a small business and we need to manage our cash flow.

Failing to show without cancelling will render you liable for the total amount of your booking and this will be taken from the card on which you booked with.

As per our standard Terms and Conditions, we always advise that you take out travel insurance if you are concerned that you may need to cancel.
